This award-winning renovation transformed an approximately 8,000-square-foot classic traditional home into a luxury modern living space. The homeowners temporarily relocated during construction, allowing for a comprehensive, whole-house renovation with virtually every space thoughtfully reimagined.
One of the home’s most dramatic changes was the rear elevation, where we removed the existing doors and significantly enlarged the openings to install expansive steel-framed doors that flood the interior with natural light and creates a connection to the outdoors.
We also designed and constructed a screened porch that functions as a three-season living space. Retractable motorized screens disappear when not in use, while integrated outdoor heaters extend the comfort and usability of the room throughout much of the year.
Inside, the home was completely transformed. The kitchen and adjoining dining areas were fully renovated to create a more open, functional layout for everyday living and entertaining. Every bathroom in the home was remodeled, including the primary bath and two powder rooms, with custom finishes throughout.
The lower level became an entertainment destination featuring a custom home theater, billiards room, bar, and climate-controlled wine cellar. Additional renovations included the living room, primary suite, custom walk-in closets, and extensive electrical and lighting upgrades throughout the residence.
This project received industry recognition, earning design awards and being featured in a 12-page spread in Home & Design magazine. It stands as an example of Marvel Homes’ ability to execute complex, large-scale renovations with exceptional craftsmanship, attention to detail, and close collaboration with the design team and homeowners.
